Fruit Bingo for Seniors — 25 unique printable bingo cards plus 28 call cards with clues and conversation starters. Instant download, print as many copies as you like.
This is a fruit bingo game built for older adults, not a preschool color-matching worksheet. Twenty-eight fruits, from the ones everybody grew up with to the ones nobody had heard of until recently — strawberries, cherries, watermelon and pears, but also lychee, papaya, persimmon and dragon fruit — each printed with its name underneath, so nobody has to guess what they're looking at.
**Every square is a memory, and the call cards go and get it.**
Each call card has a riddle to read aloud, and underneath it a question about the player's own life:
> *CHERRIES — "Two of us on one stem, hung over your ears like earrings when you were small."*
> **Talk about it:** Did you do that? Did anybody teach you to tie the stem in a knot?
A quiet room turns into a room describing the orange in the Christmas stocking, the blackberry patch down the fence line, who made the lemonade, and exactly how far somebody could spit a watermelon seed.
**It's also a naming exercise.**
Naming familiar objects is standard language work, and the facilitator guide says it plainly: if someone can't find the word, describe the picture and let them get there — don't supply it too quickly. That makes this useful in speech and occupational therapy sessions, not just on the activity calendar.
**Make it a tasting.**
Fruit is the one food you can actually pass around the table. A plate of orange slices or a bowl of grapes turns the game into a sensory session — check diabetic diets and swallowing precautions with your nurse first, and the guide reminds you to.
**And it plays any week of the year.**
No holiday attached and no season. Print it in January or in July; it works the same.
**WHAT YOU GET — one PDF, 31 pages, US Letter 8.5 x 11**
* 25 bingo cards, every one a different arrangement — verified, no duplicates, so no two players bingo on the same call
* 28 facilitator call cards, 6 to a page, with cut lines — picture, clue, and memory question
* 1 facilitator guide page: what you'll need, how to play, three game variations (Four Corners, Postage Stamp, Blackout), and notes for a mixed group
**PERFECT FOR**
Assisted living and memory care · senior centers and adult day programs · nursing home activity calendars · speech and occupational therapy sessions · nutrition and dietitian programs · hospice and volunteer visits
**HOW IT WORKS**
1. Buy and download — the PDF is in your Etsy downloads immediately
2. Print at home or at a copy shop. Print at 100% / "actual size," not "fit to page"
3. Cut the call cards apart, hand out the boards, and use pennies, dried beans, dried corn, or bingo chips as markers
**PLEASE NOTE**
This is a digital download. No physical product will be mailed to you. You'll need a PDF reader (Adobe Reader is free) and a printer, or a copy shop. Colors may vary slightly from screen to print.
For personal and single-facility use — print as many copies as your residents or group need. Please don't resell, share the file, or redistribute it.
