Global Flavors Bingo for Seniors
42 dishes from around the world, 25 unique printable bingo cards, and 42 call cards with clues and conversation starters. Instant download, print as many copies as you like.
Fish and chips, pierogi, tacos, sushi, poutine, borscht, baklava, churros, chai, kimchi, tagine, pho — forty-two dishes from roughly twenty-five countries, each printed with its name underneath in big clear type.
**This one is a trip, not a memory test.**
Most picture bingo asks a resident to recall something from their own life. This doesn't. A good many of these dishes will be brand new to your group, and that's the point — there is no wrong answer to "would you try it?" Every clue names the country and gives you something to say, so you can run the whole session without knowing a thing about any of it.
*PIEROGI — "Poland. Dough folded over a filling, boiled, then fried in butter with onions."*
**Talk about it:** Did anyone in your family make something by hand all afternoon? What was it?
**And it finds the people in the room.**
Ask who knows the dish before you explain it. Someone will. The resident who emigrated, the one who married into another family's cooking, the quiet man who was stationed overseas for two years — this is the activity that gets their hand up. That's worth more than any craft project on the calendar, and the facilitator guide tells you how to make it happen.
**Perfect for an Around the World month**
International programming is on nearly every activity calendar at some point in the year, and there's very little for it that isn't aimed at children. This is built for adults: real dishes, real countries, written plainly and without caricature.
**Make it a tasting**
Hummus and pita, a plate of churros, a pot of chai — the guide suggests pairing a few cards with something to try. Check allergies and diets with your nurse first; satay and baklava both have nuts.
**WHAT YOU GET — one PDF, 33 pages, US Letter 8.5 x 11**
* 25 bingo cards, every one a different arrangement — verified, no duplicates, so no two players bingo on the same call
* 42 facilitator call cards, 6 to a page, with cut lines — picture, clue naming the country, and a conversation question
* 1 facilitator guide page: how to play, three game variations (Four Corners, Postage Stamp, Blackout), and notes for running it with a mixed group
**PERFECT FOR**
Assisted living and memory care · senior centers and adult day programs · nursing home activity calendars · international and "around the world" theme months · church and community groups · hospice and volunteer visits
**HOW IT WORKS**
1. Buy and download — the PDF is in your Etsy downloads immediately
2. Print at home or at a copy shop. Print at 100% / "actual size," not "fit to page"
3. Cut the call cards apart, hand out the boards, and use pennies, dried beans, or bingo chips as markers
**PLEASE NOTE**
This is a digital download. No physical product will be mailed to you. You'll need a PDF reader (Adobe Reader is free) and a printer, or a copy shop. Colors may vary slightly from screen to print.
For personal and single-facility use — print as many copies as your residents or group need. Please don't resell, share the file, or redistribute it.
