This is a St. Patrick's Day bingo game built for older adults, not a classroom worksheet. Thirty pictures of the day and the country behind it — the shamrock and the pot of gold, but also the Claddagh ring, the Celtic cross, the Blarney Stone, soda bread, the harp, the banshee out wailing in the night — each printed with its name underneath, so nobody has to guess what they're looking at.

Half this deck is real heritage: the Emerald Isle, Dublin, the harp on the coins, the Claddagh's love-loyalty-friendship, the potato crop whose failure in the 1840s sent millions across the ocean. For residents with Irish in the family — and there are a great many — that turns a novelty afternoon into a conversation about where their people came from.

Every one of the 30 call cards has a short clue for the facilitator to read aloud, and underneath it, a question about the player's own life:

 *POTATO — "The crop that fed a nation, and whose failure in the 1840s sent millions across the ocean."*

>**Talk about it:** Do you know when your family came over? What was it that brought them?

That second line is the whole point. A quiet room turns into a room naming counties, remembering a grandmother's soda bread, and trying to get all the way through a limerick.

**A note for facilitators**

Three cards show alcohol — Irish Whiskey, Irish Coffee and Beer. If that's a sensitive subject in your group, simply leave those three out of the bowl; the game plays fine without them. The facilitator guide says so too.
