Bring warmth, laughter, and meaningful conversation into your activity sessions with this "Find Someone Who... Season of Gratitude Edition," specially designed for older adults in care settings.

This engaging, interactive resource celebrates the warmth of Thanksgiving and the spirit of gratitude, encouraging residents to connect, share memories, and participate in meaningful social interaction. With simple prompts, participants are invited to walk around (or engage from their seats if needed) and find peers who match each statement, helping spark conversation, reminiscence, and social connection.

The activity is easy to use and highly adaptable. Each participant receives a "Find Someone Who..." grid featuring prompts related to Thanksgiving traditions, favorite holiday meals, family gatherings, harvest celebrations, acts of kindness, people they are thankful for, favorite seasonal desserts, cooking holiday recipes, and cherished Thanksgiving memories. Residents ask each other questions like "Do you enjoy pumpkin pie?" or "Have you ever cooked a Thanksgiving dinner?" and write down the name of the first person they find who matches each statement.

To support different mobility and cognitive needs, this resource can be easily adapted for:

- Group walking interaction, encouraging movement and social engagement
- Seated participation, where residents pair up or work in small groups
- Staff-supported interaction, for residents who benefit from additional guidance or prompting.

This activity promotes communication, reminiscence, and social bonding while gently supporting cognitive stimulation through repetition, listening, and speaking. It is ideal for encouraging residents to share memories of Thanksgiving celebrations, family traditions, favorite holiday recipes, harvest gatherings, and the people and moments they are most grateful for.

This resource can be purchased individually or as part of our monthly themed packs, designed to make planning easier while keeping your calendar full of engaging, person-centered activities.

It is included in the November pack, "November Gratitude," a collection of 20+ ready-to-print activities and décor designed to save you hours of prep while celebrating gratitude, Thanksgiving traditions, harvest blessings, and meaningful engagement throughout the month.

Inside the pack, you'll find a wide variety of engaging resources, including Thanksgiving-themed games, gratitude activities, harvest-inspired printables, reminiscence prompts, movement activities, creative tasks, and low-prep printables like coloring pages, conversation cards, word games, puzzles, and matching activities. Everything you need to keep residents active, connected, and entertained throughout the Thanksgiving season.
